What if you are someone who likes having free time?
You don’t like the idea of waking up according to someone else’s schedule and being told what to do. You want to be able to take your clothes to the cleaners at 10am, get your hair done at 2pm, and sip a cocktail somewhere in between.
All of that is possible, but there are consequences if you are not set-up properly. Here’s the deal: You can live like this and be comfortable if you have a plan and strategy. Or else, you’ll find yourself in as much of a rut or routine as any unhappy cubicle worker.
An Alphanista is at her best when her schedule is of her own making be it a 9-5 or not.
She has a goal and an endgame. But there are pangs of guilt when she wonders why she can’t just be happy with what everyone else is happy with.
The key is to have a plan.
Create your own circle of support and resources that get you closer to your end game. You don’t want to work, right? Well, you need to live, experience and ride with the waves life throws at you. There is a destination that may not look like everyone else’s, only unlimited.
Your inner circle:
Books
A good crop of books whether business, spiritual or whatever is in your interest to get your mind off distraction, guilt and procrastination.
Minds
This is a person or a mentor who is brilliant and one conversation springs a myriad of ideas; this person has access, so think twice about how to approach them, they can be guarded. Join groups and find someone you can learn from because we all should have access to support. Even mentors need mentors to help them on their journey. Coaches need coaches and so on.
Spirituality
You need a strong foundation to keep you focused, define what works for you, and start using it every day. You will need it. Even if it’s only meditation or weekly meetings.
This is an eclectic and fantastic start. Do your research. Get the support. Notice how I didn’t say family or friends? Because they know us. They are a little too close and want to protect us at times. You need people who can see the “new” you already.
The rest is up to you.
