Take Control Of Your Dream World

womansleeoBy Guest Blogger Te-Erika Patterson

Have you ever been deeply immersed in a dream that overwhelms you emotionally?

You may feel stuck and unable to control the happenings in your “awake” state and you can’t believe you are experiencing the same things in your dream world.

You can take back some of the control in your dream world by training yourself to experience a lucid dream. Lucid dreams are simply dreams that you experience while asleep, however, in your dream state you have complete control over what happens.

How do you do that? Well, if you can, when you’re dreaming you have to understand and recognize that you are dreaming. Once you realize that you are dreaming you have to use your power to change the dream to what you want it to be. You can do this. All you have to do is make up in your mind, while dreaming, that you want a different experience.

Lucid dreaming is fun because when you get the hang of it, you’ll look forward to going to sleep at night. You can travel to far away places, fly, say what you always wanted to say and kill the boogey man if you want to because you realize that you have all the power. You can also visit other lucid dreamers and hang out or talk.

When you’re about to go to bed tonight, try to relax before you go to sleep. Say aloud to yourself, “I am in full control of my dream world and it will be whatever I want it to be.”

Your power is in your consciousness, and I’m not talking about your “awake” state. I’m talking about the recognition that your life, while dreaming or awake is fully under your power.

We see what we want to see. What is your dream world made of? If you don’t like it, you can change it. The power is within you.

I have not dreamt of anything in a while, usually I am fighting an enemy or temptation I have.
Katie Holmes is still a lowly actress, she is just lowly and married to Tom Cruise, who is a nut.

I do this, its the best, I didn’t realize it was an actual thing with a name though. For some reason my dreams(that I remembered and woke up from) were usually disturbing and I woke up feeling very shaken and powerless. So I started going right back to sleep to right what happened wrong in the dream. As time progressed I learned that I didn’t have to wait to wake back up to control the dream I could do it while I was still asleep.

I will have to try and create my own scenarios and storylines from the beginning. That may be the best practice place for real life.

@Deja you did? I always heard of my aunties and mama doing this, but I’m going to try it. I do lucid dream and I have “seen” some things in the dream, but I’m no psychic.

Sometimes I talk in my dreams. I find myself talking about my issues like I have the answer but I cannot remember when I wake up.
