Since Fridays are supposed to be light and airy, I’m not going to give you a long diatribe of what I think about Kelis’ twitter rant about cheating. Here’s an excerpt from NecoleBitchie:
…Also we can discuss whores I mean the nasty sub par tricks that participate in the cheating. Well let me say this, both parties are gross. And in reality they deserve each other.
All the scum bag coward husbands and the less then impressive sluts unite! You can all go down in flames together! Hooray! Who’s disgusted and bitter? Not I said the cat!…
She goes on to say she doesn’t blame the women but calls them every name in the book.
This also sounds very self righteous like Kelis has never talked to or been with a committed man before. It’s rite of passage for some women…especially in certain countries. And the name calling, so bitter. People in glass houses should not throw stones…that means Kelis.
What is the point of calling other women “whores” and such? The law of attraction says that only creates more whores. Married men and women who cheat make their own choice. They want to cheat. Simple. In the end, the women are free to use their bodies as they please. Some of the men, when they are ready or depending on their options will stop. At some point, a man “stops” whatever that means to him and it could have nothing to do with his woman. One man told me, “I was just tired”. Kind of like, job hunting. As much as you need to do it, the thrill is gone and it becomes monotonous. You stop, take a break or find other means.
I expect a emotional rant like this from a beta like Rihanna or somebody, but not Kelis, a woman on the edge or marketed as such. Cheating and “whoring” has been around since the dinosaurs. There are even couples who negotiate “open” relationships because of this problem.
So, let’s move on to bigger relationship issues like communication. I mean, because at the end of the day that is what it boils down to.
