Good Life: Every Lady Should Put Her Name On It
January 7, 2009

Flask that looks like a cell phone, "Hello, Who's Calling?"
Conversation pieces.
People talk about it but do you really know what they are? You’re at a party full of the same kind of people, doing the same things. Then a lovely young lady, or man, comes up, rests their elbow on the bar, and pulls out a shiny, engraved, flask about the size of their palm. They unscrew the top. Thank the bartender for the glass of soda, and commence to pour in the liquid love.
It’s a tactic to draw people to you, but it should be useful. It’s also a way to bring that quirky little brand of cognac with you if you can’t find it at the bar. Every time I’ve done this someone comes up to me and asks me about “the flask”. I haven’t used my flask out in public in years, but will soon.
It’s just a dainty item someone gave me as a gift. I used it one night for the hell of it and filled it with Port wine from the Douro region (not the cheap stuff they put in the Christmas cakes). I got lots of attention from men and women, that I just kept using it. You can also pour whatever you want in it. My ex used it for water.
Not sure where I got the idea, but it must’ve been from one of those old classic Hollywood movies. The next thing, I got was a pretty, engraved w/initials business card holder. It’s silver and thin like a credit card. Doesn’t nearly get that much attention, but it’s nice to pull out.
The other day I was in the office of a major business magazine, saw a lady dressed in St. John with a Louis Vuitton bag engraved with her initials. I never thought of engraving any of my bags, but hers looked so elegant.
This is just to say, if you’re looking for discreet items to add some character to your style check out a flask, other little trinkets or ways to add a more personalized touch. Do it until it becomes a signature style. Whatever it is. It’s all about being seen without being heard.

YOU CAN ALSO SAVE MONEY! BRNG YOUR FLASK TO THE CLUB! ORDER $5 cranberry juice, and turn it into a martini.
Uhm, you sure can
Leaving that up to ya’ll.

Just thinking about what i could use to differentiate my style some, i like brouches (sp?) too and a signature lipstick color that I have stock in practically, my man likes it alot. Gonna think what I can add new for ‘09 it’s always fun playing with accessories and statement pieces.
I admire all those who have cufflinks and shirts with their initials monogrammed.
