Being single, I was blessed with several invites. I headed to a chum's house with an empty belly and ready to feast. OK--let's just say my belly got happy, but my hearing was about shot. I love kids. Heck, I was one too--once, but one more scream at a certain decible got me to pack up a 'take home' plate and hit the freeway. The thing they didn't have? Pumpkin pie. I have one now in my fridge. It's a treat to myself. My thing is--give yourself a treat--whether it's pumpkin pie or ice cream--just something that is YOURS-- Being by yourself on the holiday isn't a bad thing--only if you think it is. No, not on a vacation just staying at home doing something for myself. Don't want all the stimulation from different folks today. My time will come again.
