So, Women Really Don’t Like Being On "Top"?

September 25, 2008

I gathered some thoughts from the girls over at Baller Alert as to how they felt about being submissive to a man, particularly a baller. A baller, in this context, is a man of money, prestige, and status. There were over 50 comments, but I was surprised to see some that really agreed with the concept of a man being THE MAN. Many women are afraid to voice their desire to be submissive, or out of fear push it away, but there are still some who want to be and own it. Take a look:

–I have this type of relationship…one of a deep trust. He is a natural leader, a protector, a provider, a real man; he handles his business, sexes me crazy and takes care of home. I respect him, love him & treat him like a king. He has proven his dedication to me; and in return I listen to him, I do what he asks of me; and rarely question him, or argue – because I know he has our best interest at heart…I have never been loved so completely by a man… It is difficult to explain…

–I think deep down a lot of women are tired of having to play both roles when it comes to relationships. And the women who do find themselves alone for the most part….

–If I’m ever in a long-term relationship again, this is what I want. I’ve always been attracted to the dominant alpha-male who knows how to handle himself and me. I know I haven’t found him yet because lately all that I’ve run across I’m running over….

–…this is the type of man I would want to have, but like I said before… If he is to lead, he has to know how to lead, have a plan, and the means to get us there.

–I have only met one man that I would be submissive to and I fought him all the way. He was a good man and if I’d made different choices then maybe I would be a happier person today.

That’s all.

Is This The End of America, As We Know It?

September 15, 2008

I’m not a die hard conspiracy theorist, but I do enjoy alternative points of view. Now, this whole thing with the banks closing and falling is just sad. Lehman is the latest. Call me a capitalist, but don’t call me stupid. These banks are what build our capitalist country and our economic strength stands on their shoulders. More or less. I’m not an economist or an MBA. But I do know that when a bank closes, lots of people lose money, some make money, and the “little people” hurt the most because it puts another nail in our economic instability.

Is this the end times? Palin? No more big banks? Bye Lehman, somehow though I didnt have any money with you, but I felt I knew you. It was where my first husband was supposed to invest. RIP.

Why Doesn’t the OBAMA Camp Get It?

September 12, 2008

America is a country of OLD people. The majority of Americans are over 55 years old. They vote, they make the decisions, they are mostly white and Republican. According to the AP today, Obama mocked McCain for being computer illiterate. Not the smart thing to do if you ask me, because the group that McCain represents–older Americans–are going to be offended by that comment, too. Obama called him out of touch and out of a date in this latest commercial. If all the young people over 18 voted tomorrow for Obama tomorrow, it is still not enough votes compared to all the older Americans.

His people are calling this a tough attack, but is it? Obama, darling, please talk in plain English to these people. That’s tough. Please stick to the issues. The other day your lipstick comment got blown up because it was too abstract. Middle America loves pigs! Immediately they take offense. They think you’re mocking them. Just the facts, please. Nice. Easy. Simple. Direct.

Bristol’s "Real" Baby Daddy Speaks

September 10, 2008

I always thought the baby daddy was really black. This is the guy the media is hiding, or is it? He claims he is the real baby daddy and not Levi. That he was visiting a family member in Alaska when he met Bristol and they engaged in fornications. He is from LA. Is it real? You call it!

Men Have a Biological Clock, Too

September 10, 2008

This is for all those mid-30 professional brothers and men of other races, who rather stand across the room than initiate conversation with a lovely, fertile lady. According to the TIME magazine article “A Biological Clock for Dads Too” women over 35 are more likely to conceive more quickly with men younger than they are. Here’s an excerpt:

While women are used to seeing grim statistics about their decreasing chances of achieving pregnancy and the increasing risks of Down syndrome as they age, men have typically believed that they have all the time in the world. Perhaps now, men in their mid-30s will start sharing the same “now or never” pressure to conceive that women have long endured.

So, there!
